If you have received a Reiki treatment, you know of its many physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits. You may be wondering what it would be like to be able to give treatments yourself. You may feel a calling to help people, to learn how to be a healer. Your desire may be just to bring more peace, relaxation, and comfort to your friends, family, pets, and yourself. You may want to help a loved one through a complicated or devastating illness, or help a family member navigate through a crisis. Or perhaps you are seeking deeper meaning to your own life, or desire a deeper spiritual connection. All of these reasons, and more, are good ones for learning to be a Reiki practitioner.

Level I provides you with a basic understanding of the nature of Reiki and its history, what it can be used for, and how to give a basic treatment. You will receive your first attunement, in which your energy system is adjusted and strengthened so that Reiki energy can be channeled through you. You will receive a manual, handouts, a certificate of completion, and continuing support. The class is about 7 hours long, and contains plenty of guided practice time. Many people stop here, especially if the intent is to use Reiki for family, friends, and pets and not in a professional capacity.

Level II continues the training, and is recommended for those who wish to practice professionally. You will learn new Reiki techniques, such as sending Reiki at a distance, and Reiki symbols, which focus Reiki energy for specific purposes. The attunement for Reiki II is stronger, and allows you to channel much greater amounts of Reiki energy. The class is about 8 hours long, and practice includes sending Reiki long distance to a real person.

Training continues at the ART (Advanced Reiki Techniques) and Master levels (Reiki III). The Master level is required for those wishing to teach Reiki. ART and Reiki III are often taught as separate classes, but the energy of Holy Fire Reiki requires that they be taught together in 3 separate days.
